Over nearly 60 years we have evolved in tune with the times, offering the practical solutions and aesthetic that people around the world demand. Flexible with regard to the needs of users in that we are constantly seeking to improve our work, and consistent to our values and respecting the tradition of the craftsmanship in equilibrium with the latest technology. Year after year, we have become globalized without losing our local spirit. PHILOSOPHY
All Tobias Grau lights are designed and produced in our headquarters near Hamburg. The thriving studio atmosphere and close communication between technical and creative teams is integral to our holistic vision, by which every luminaire is a synergy of art and avant-garde technology.
A comprehensive approach is integral to our design philosophy, crafting each luminaire as a masterwork of efficiency and elegance. Drawing on the interdisciplinary expertise of our team, we aspire to set new standards for the beauty, sustainability, and innovation of lighting.
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
Environmental responsibility has been at the heart of Tobias Grau ever since we launched in our Hamburg HQ, a pioneering example of solar-powered architecture. Our numerous efficiency innovations include light and motion sensors and our patented OSA (open structure antiglare) grid system. We use recyclable and minimal packaging, assemble all parts in Germany, and design all our lamps to last a lifetime.
